I awake from my dream
The bright sunlight shines through my curtains
Lighting up my dark room.
The clock scares me as it beeps -
too far to reach.
I ignore it, willing sleep to take over again
The fresh smell of eggs and bacon enters my nose
I push my covers away from me,
wiping the sleep from my eyes.
I open the curtains
The sun blinds me as it peeks over the hills
entering my room.
I then realise it's time to leave.
The beautiful sunlight remains behind me.
