Drops of sunlight trickle through
Piercing the curtain of despair
The fear and terror of the night
Shirk away, they cannot stay there.
Luminance bursts out, brilliant beams
Sweep and purge the sky
Cheated of her strength, the Darkness shrieks
Watching her kingdom die.
Night has abdicated her dark throne
Released her clasp of the land
Her command, her resolve drained away
As spirits, uplifted, break free from her hand.
The earth is freed once more as
Shadows retreat to their dens
But though hope and mirth now surge through the heavens
That evil shall come again.
