A glimpse of the future, a flash of the past
A fleeting moment that goes too fast.

Not able to forget, not able to remember
To burn bright or die down, a dimly lit ember.

No intention to stay, no intention to leave
To forgive and be happy, to upset or grieve.

Time moving too fast, time freezing too quick
Unable to keep track although the clock will still tick.

A fairytale story, a real life thing
Craving more meaning, some sort of ending

Unrecognised and unnoticed, the end it would seem
To what appears to be a waking dream.
