As darkness dawns, she plays her part
A helpless pawn, from the start
Behind closed doors, comes these sores
She claimed he never made.
But she still pulls down her long sleeves
To cover the memories scars leave
From within her skin, we see his sin
In her eyes you see her pain
Of this sorrow what’s to gain?
Sobs let out in the dark
A raised fist surely can leave a mark
For with this blood that has been shed
Comes a life with no tread.
To live a life in a bloody daze
Sets alight a truthful blaze
For when a knife is raised is it the solution?
No it's not it's mind pollution
For within this short lived relief
Still lurks the pain and grief
That plagues her thoughts and mind
A peacefulness she still yearns to find
But maybe with these tears she not only bleeds
She'll find an answer to wash the slate clean.
