Piercing plates, hurtle and slide,
Tremors felt, here and wide,
Sizzingly, slowly, subduction is here,
Barely felt but can't hear.
The blue sky starts to rise,
Rise, rise until it's 10 metres in size,
Unstoppable and unforgiving in its deadly path men die,
As it arcs its deadly path to Sendai.
It speaks and brings death to the unaware,
As the daring devil has sin to share,
A black shadow swiftly covers the wake,
Menacing in its path and kills like a snake.
May the people of the land still have hope,
And one day the light will shine over them and let them cope.
