War is a ferocious monster, hungry for blood.
It sounds like the squelch of boots marching through mud.
War is the longing for loved ones to come home.
It feels like the agony of being alone.
War is the theft of people’s liberty.
It leaves families fighting poverty.
We hear of soldiers dying.
Yet instead of giving up we’re still trying.
Humans have not learned to amicably settle strife.
Though for peace, harmony and happiness we all strive.
Rut, sloth, agro and plunder still survive.
War never ends as long as there is human conflict.
In a world where greed, terrorism and violence exist.
