A Glistening Tear

A glistening tear will fall from my eye, for now is the time I start to cry.
I stumble to my knees in the darkness and cold.
For all the question is what power does the heart hold?
No one can save me, no one would try.
The time is coming for my heart to die.
Broken in half, split in two.
The only person I think of is you.
The depth in your soul, your eye’s so blue.
You’re the one I love and that is true.
I cannot speak, my throat is so dry.
My eyesight is hazy, I shall now say good bye.
I shall sing the sweetest song into the sky,
While a glistening tear will fall from my eye.
