Damaged Rose

Why am I alone?
Whispers around me,
Secrets I cannot tell,
Times I wish I had,
I shout……
The echo surrounds me,
But no one comes.
I am a lie,
I wear a mask,
I am smiling,
But like my life it is a lie,
A shattered rose I am,
I once had many petals,
But slowly,
He takes away petal,
By petal, by petal ………
He leaves me with only a stem,
What is a rose without petals?
What is a life without happiness?
He tells me I’m nothing,
But what is he to say?
More comes out,
Worthless,
Stupid,
Punches,
Kicks and screams
But I stay strong,
It continues
Worst
And worst
Everyday.
I start to believe him,
I’ve shed more tears than there are grains of sand on a beach,
A knife through my heart,
Wait………..
Living is hard, death is easier,
But if I die he wins,
So I tell myself to,
Stand tall with my head held high,
Courage,
Wisdom,
And Strength,
For success is the sweetest form of,
REVENGE……
