I Am A Candle

My heart is a flame,
my emotions wax,
i am neither strong,
nor am i weak,
but yet i stand,
i am at my peak.
Ever so slowly,
do i melt,
as one like myself,
cannot stay upheld.
My heart is a flame,
my emotions wax.
My flame flares,
as a heart beats with love,
but with evry flare,
a relaxing calm replaces.
My heart is a flame,
My emotions wax.
I may be gentle, at first,
but drip by drip,
anger unfolds
until a pool of wax
is now covering my dish.
Hot, liquid still,
but as that hardens,
as all such as wax does,
anger recoils.
My heart is a flame,
my emotions wax.
A candle
my life,
its flame
my heart,
my emotions
wax.
