My Day At The Beach

Going to the beach is an awesome time
Jump in the car, front seat is mine.

Off we go on a wonderful trip
I’ve got my swimmers, can’t wait for a dip.

I get out, unpack the car
I am so lucky, I feel like a star.

I’ve got heaps of sunscreen on my nose
I can feel the soft sand trickling through my toes.

I rush to the water, hope I win
We will go out and catch the waves back in.

Feeling hungry, we go to the shop
I get to choose my favourite iceblock.

We run to the rocks, I wonder what we will find
Crabs, starfish, an octopus and shells of every kind.

I love the beach, so blue and deep
But it is time to go home, I feel like a sleep!
