I watch the trees that swish and sway,
Beneath the sun on a warm Summers day.
Not a single cloud in the big, blue sky,
Only a seagull soaring by.
I watch that bird, it looks so free,
Flying happily above me.

Suddenly, lightning flashes,
Babies cry, everyone dashes.
I stand watching the incredible sight,
Grey clouds booming with all their might.
The storm gave everyone a fright,
But not to worry, soon there will be light.
Soon the drips and drops will dry,
Once again the birds will fly...
Up there in the empty sky.
