War Is Always Won

They have beaten us to the brink, exhaust us to the limit,
We were brave then, we all are sad, they’ve taken all our spirit
At days mid-break we shall return,
More valiant than before
And if we go down, we go down fighting,
And we will last forever,
Step by step, hand in hand, We fight back once and for all,
For all that’s been and gone, we salute them for their falls
And if we happen to succeed and job is far from done,
As some of us have lives to keep, where some of us has none
We shall remember this day, the day the war was won,
But we shall tell our grandchildren, that this is far from done
