The curtain of sunlight was stripped from the water,
Its beauty held bare to witness,
No longer cursed to the shadows to linger,
Its beauty so rare and so flawless,
Under the mask of darkness the lake is exposed,
The moonlight revealed all the beauty that hid from the day.
Beneath the veil of darkness, its splendour proposed,
Its lily pads shimmering under glistening moon rays.
