In a hospital room, surrounded by machines, I lie
waiting for death to take over, waiting to die.
Bored with waiting I got up and went to door
I had not walked since a long time before.
I left the machines and the room far behind,
my heart filled with joy, far ahead of me hope shined.
And then the music started, I hoped it would last long;
it was like all my hopes and dreams woven into song.
I started to move my feet, I had never moved like this!
There was no pain, my life was good, my life was bliss.
I danced and moved a laugh escaped my lips,
I went where the hope shined, this was the greatest of trips.
I danced and danced, I wanted the dance to go on
I danced and danced, elegant as a swan.
The music stopped, I stopped, I fell asleep.
Back in the room the machines started to beep.
