Excellence Award in the 'Step Write Up 2011' competition
With a shiny golden halo
Looking up from down bellow
An angel sent from up above
All I want is a fraction of your love
I watched you fall from grace again
As though you feel no pain
An angel with a broken wing.
Your spirit has not withered and died
Caught up in your endless pride
Your rainbows lost their colour scheme
In the shadow of your own team
Your bird has flown from it’s cage
Yet you are stuck in wasted rage
Living off your own sin,
Which isn’t the way your meant to win
Until you fell from a broken wing
