The woodcutter in the boiling heat
Chopping wood for his job
The humidity unbearable
Everything starts to throb.
The axe his only companion
At one with nature til his work is done
Alone in the tranquil forest
Toiling in the blistering sun.
The birds screech like rusted violins
The spark ignites with no one around
Suddenly aware of the danger approaching
The woodcutter listens and waits for a sound.
He ponders on what is happening
Fearful of the danger around him
Frantically trying to make an escape
He knows that his chances are slim.
