I wake up, all is dark,
I walk down the street,
I can’t see but I hear dogs bark,
I feel the summer breeze in my hair,
And although I cant see,
I feel people stare
I can feel the beautiful sun,
I can hear the young children,
Playing and having fun
I hear the birds singing,
I bet they're beautiful,
Like the notes they're bringing,
I feel the sun sinking,
It must be wonderful, I'm thinking,
I go home, turn on a light,
And then I remember:
It won't change my sight.
I lie in bed wondering what people think of me,
Then I wonder:
What would it be like to see...?
