Underneath The Same Sky, We Gazed Into The Night

I feel myself so lucky, that I should be with you;
For within me is there only a love so boldly true,
And loving you is easy as to look unto the moon-
Her glowing face but half as radiant as the one I see so soon.
And yet a softer thunder, one more delicate and tame;
With an accent full of wonder, that falls gently as the rain,
A deeper gaze astounds me - there are worlds within your eyes,
And our kisses just as fire, fueled by deep and blissful sighs.
Your bangs of midnight black are as amazing as your smile,
Yet nearly half as warm I would not be, you so beguile
My senses - touch and hearing, and taste and smell and sight -
Underneath our one sky, we do gaze into the night.
Still, the love we share between us, both plutonic as the tears
Of joy and sorrow that we share, still, throughout the years-
And yet more deep than darkest hues of black and silver-blue,
Just part of how we both react when "me" melts into "you".
