A glimmering pride
A long dusty history
dating back in time.

Friendly communities
small rocky streets
high rise apartments
many places to meet.

Most bombed and most wanted
Throughout World War II
The serious fighting
We made it through.

Yesterday's traditions
Mix with today's here and now
Helps us look to our future
We are Malta ... we are proud.
