whaite swirls
across the canvas
Smudge a child’s
ruby red kite
gliding above
Carve thickest trunk
of an Eucalyptus
roots entwining together
Remember paint
spilling that once
gleaming river?
Now watch this reflection
murky water laced with venom
washing this perfect picture away
