You were there you saw it all,
you heard my cries and desperate calls.
You heard the bang, you saw the crash,
what started as fun soon turned black.
I still breath but vision is lost,
I hear the sirens but not much else.
You are there, I sense your presence.
You hold my hand and wait for my attendence.
I am lost, I am scared, my heart still beats but my brain feels dead.
The machines beep and nurses whisper, my family cry and my friends they linger.
My eyes tapped shut and a pulse in my finger,
I am healing but wish I would faster. My life is on hold and so am I, I was chosen but did not die.
I am so lucky yet still there is tears, they wait for me like it's been years.
I am back and no longer will I see black,
it is all now a blur, but I am living that's for sure.
Use your days like they have no limits, because tommorow may never be as you planned it.
