Early in the morning,
As the yard comes to life,
Here at the bottom of the garden
The cheeping birds are rife.
I sit nestled in the garden
Watching children play,
Inhaling all the peacefulness
And enjoying the lovely day.
I am the beautiful scarlet rose,
A vibrant colour of red.
As I watch the sun set,
From this little garden bed.
The pruning shears went snip and someone scooped me up.
Next thing I know, I’m in some water in a cup.
Fiery red, the one that she chose.
From the little rose garden, a bright red rose!
