Flee.
The threats, the menace, the pain.
Of all hope lost in the pit.
The deepest, blackest pit of human despair.
Loss.
The life, the familiarity.
Of all that was ever comprehended for, lost in
The deepest, blackest pit of human despair.
Arrival.
The new shores, new smells, new sights
The weak promise of a brighter existence, something other than
The deepest, blackest pit of human despair.
Refugee.
The label. The new name. People cannot see
That your life has been nothing, but
The deepest, blackest pit of human despair.
