Objects Of Ol'

Years take their toll
And even the best new things
Become part of the ol’
The dust settles fast
On these objects of past
And they’re forgotten, put somewhere dark
As the old wood decays
(And may I remark,
The smell is quite stale)
We wonder how
It can be to avail
So I ask you now
Preserve the past
And make it last
