We will start from the beginning this is how it goes
He’s short, talented and always on his toes.
Married young of age with three daughters the sparkle of his eye
He goes by the name of daddy you will never see him cry.
A bloody hard worker
Who’s out to make a buck, his concrete laying business and his oyster punt?
Nose as burnt as a badger as he forgets he’s such a good catcher,
Rubs it in your face the day he caught the biggest snapper.
He loves to throw that rod out with mate beside
While he’s talking about how he dabbed Flipper over the rise.
Don’t forget about the snorkelling too Black Cowries and Scallops,
Donna yells out from the beach “I’ve found another shoe”
Arriving home late at night putting on the Webber
‘Shivers that will be all night, lucky for the whether.’
If ever a worry or a frown appears on his face
Grab him Stout and a smile will take their place.
He’s a family man that uncle of mine
Not scared of a game or darts, sharks or even taking me for a drive.
He loves the outdoors and the football too
‘Shhh’ he replies while Dale Thomas ties up his shoe.
He loves to have a bet but only on two flies as Cauliflower barracks for the Pies.
Don’t get me wrong he knows his stuff
He taught me how to tie a truckies knot.
Serious now as above was a giggle but now I want to tell you a little.
I love this man with all my heart deep down inside from the very start.
Learn a lot from a man who knows the
Ins and outs of his concrete hose.
It’s a bit of a drive to get together
It’s worth our entire crop that gives us our dinner.
He makes you smile and appreciate life
What more could you ask for from then a man who carries a pocketknife?
I just want to say I love you to the moon and back and that sums you up forever and always.
