Olympic Dreams

The emotion is building inside me,
I am barely able to contain,
The feeling of wearing my gold medal proudly,
As I go to step off the plane.

Crowds are chanting out aloud,
I'm greeted by young and old,
"Look at our Australian heroes!"
As I wear the green and gold.

Both my coach and my family,
Are smiling right at me,
The commitment has been worth it,
I was finally able to see.

This is such a magic moment,
My face is all agleam,
I'm so proud to be part of,
An Australian Olympic Team.
