Day And Night

Out of the centre it bled, the bittersweet rays of flame red
Maize tinged light bathed us all by the daylight rise and fall
The soft pink beacons, slowly fades and weakens
with pastel carnation hues, the leaves it tints and imbues
Like speckles of ice sprinkling athwart the onyx sky sweeping
across the many weary eyes of the infants, old, foolish and wise
The cool porcelain circle glows with its gleam that it bestows
upon those with a weather eye on the ash grey orb in the sky
The cycle starts over without delay,
the moon flees the coming day
The tableau of stars withdraw,
obeying the natural law
