Going Against The Pack

I sit upon my bed thinking of my life
About the company I keep leading me to strife,
For with them I am unable to foresee
A resolution ending well for me .
Feel like the beast wanting to leave the pack
I wouldn’t survive having turned my back,
Within this vicious circle I reside
Until I take my individual stride.
What is this pack I think that I am apart of?
And do they to share my brotherly love
To them am I that of a friend or foe?
As this is the question I wish to know
I envy those who sit with no other
For they need not depend on their brother
As this is my goal, and for what I strive
For once I achieve this I will be alive
