A Building Of Flame

The wild fire spat flames of red,
Engulfing the house with bright burning colours.
The walls crashed violently as they toppled and collapsed.
The fire grew stronger,
And the windows were lit with yellow beams of electricity.
The noise was terrifying like waves of bricks clashing together in a thunderstorm.
Wood turned to ash like bones in lava.
Smoke burned through our eyes, and tears leaked onto our cheeks.
The nightmare ended with a grey curtain of fog draped around the wreckage of our home.
We just stood and watched our house melt to nothing,
Before our very eyes.
