A Cat On The Roof

A Cat on the Roof named Billy…

By Rebecca Fullerton

There is a cat on the roof

He is looking with delight,

At a delicous sight.

He has whiskers that are long

And his fur is as black as night.

Two green eyes on the side of his head,

Turn away from mine as I watch him instead.

He’ll hunt through the darkness and rest at dawn.

Down comes Billy with a quiet little yawn,

Hush everyone, trust me-I haven’t lied,

Billy now is sleeping by the fireside!
