Mankinds Touch

Silver flecks sparkle
In a graceful dance of molten moon
Ripples of unseen creatures shimmer
Lost in a peaceful haven
The wind sighs on branches,
Old and forgotten with time
Shadows cast on liquid darkness
The dew from the gods above
No contamination, no fear
Of the ones who call this stolen land home
Destroying all that lives, or rather lived
In natures untouched beauty
Now all that remains are stumps of trees,
And a waste filled swamp
The place that once held beauty,
Destroyed, as all is
As all is that mankind want,
As all is that mankind envy
Now old an forgotten once more,
The wind sighs on a lifeless wasteland
Hearing the eternal silence,
Of the ones who called this place home
