Her stomach touches the ground
As she lopes along the floor
Her tail wags slowly as we come home
Her golden coat shining in the light
Her glistening eyes twinkle in the moonlight
As she lies at my feet
She does nothing but eat and sleep
With the occasional swim in the pool
She thinks she's king of the world
When she is really king of the couch!
She follows me around wherever I go
Even if she does trip me up when I walk!
She's the best dog I ever had
Even if her tummy does brush the ground
And she snores when she is awake
She loves me just as much as I love her!
