Sold by the night,
A soul for a light.
Creatures in masks,
Hidden in plain sight.
To take a chance and play,
You have to throw it all away.
Because masks have no soul,
No price too big to pay.
A ball for the grand,
You knew firsthand,
That on a night like this,
Affairs are unplanned.
There’s nothing to defend,
He was never your friend.
It’s the trust you couldn’t ‘rend,
This is the beginning of the end.
Welcome to the masquerade.
