Darling, Please Don't Cry

Hot nights and twisted sheets
A beautiful lament.
You beg me darling, please don’t cry
But for you, I was meant.
Tomorrow you will disappear,
My love, you will be gone!
I cling to you, so desperately
But fast approaches dawn.
Time dons his helmet and draws his sword
We cannot fight his march
Love plays its final, desperate chord
As Time pulls us apart.
Though you lay behind me now,
Saying darling, please don’t cry
The present will become the past-
We will say goodbye.
