Night is falling (away)
As morning breaks (into pieces)
Revealing day from behind a volatile curtain
Varicoloured as night ceases.
The sun sets (the stage)
For the stars (of the day)
Lights the concert hall of the birds,
The theatre of humanity’s play.
The sun is rising (out of sight)
The moon falling (into its place)
Candle of clandestine dealings
Ancient light tumbling from space.
