Why is love red?
Red is the colour of burning
Of blood
Of anger and fury
wounds and flames and heat - consuming.

Nor is it real to paint love pink
Princesses, candy-floss, bubblegum
Colours of innocence
Of sugar and ballet
Cherrie blossum and petals and lace - ornamenting

I wish for green love
Emerald, oceans, peace
Colours of peace
Of the cool like jade
Trees and seas and belief - healing
