Graciously she glides across the floor,
Daintily, like a hummingbird,
She flutters over to her guests and greets them.
Her poise so elegant,
Makes the room fall silent,
Everyone bows, paying respect.
She smiles a faint smile,
Every line in her face fades away,
Her smile glimmers in the darkness of the room.
Her jewels light up, spreading shards of coloured light.
Her eyes reflect them, telling the story of her life:
Adoration, compassion, grief, even anger,
But the reigning emotion
Is Love.
Love for her people.
