The path of colour overhead
Shines like polychromatic glass
With seven vibrant colours
That sparkle above the grass
Red, orange and butter yellow
The hues of a summer sunset
Painting a picture in your mind
Glowing in an ombré effect
Legend has it that at the base
Of this variegated bend
A gleaming pot of gold awaits
The traveller that reaches the end
But when the sun goes to hide
And the rain thunders down
People run away to shelter
The heavens look like a ghost town
