Get Up My Friend

Lost and drifting in time, Dreaming of past sins, Get up my friend, Get up off your knees,
For we have need of you, To fly, To fly to the depths of the sky, We write sins not catastrophes,
It is our fate, We do not lament over past mistakes, We simply burn them into our souls, So they are never repeated,
So stand my friend, Get up off your knees, And stand proud, Brush off the dust,
For we need you captain, You,
Not the husk that once laid, Deep in the darkest corners of the heart,
Which we all strive to hide, So stand my friend, Get up off your knees, And stand proud,
Brush off the dust, For we need you captain, We are good, But you make us great,
So stand my friend, Get up off your knees, And stand proud, Brush off the dust,
For we need you captain, Wear your pride on your sleeve, For the moment you wear it like a necklace, Flashy, Shiny, Present, but never truly seen,
This we won’t accept, So stand my friend, Get up off your knees, And stand proud,
Brush off the dust, For we need you captain,
Stand proud,
For the Final Ride of the Day
