I close my sleepy eyes, in darkness this is where my fear lies. There's no noise but still the child cries, here comes the thing with burning eyes.
At the doors of wake my fists will pound and my tears will ever keep streaming down.
All will bow to the monsters command, no-one will defy him in this land. As he builds his walls into the night, the trap is set no doors in sight.
I hear his laughter split through the night, his horrid breath blows out all light.
Now in darkness afraid and scared, I hear my name, I hope, I dare.I wonder who, then guess of you. You'll always save me from this horrid land, you'll always wake me and hold my hand.
