I knew they were going to arrive sometime. All I could do was wait until they arrived. BANG! My door was knocked down and into my once peaceful cottage came the masked intruders. I pinched myself to make sure this wasn't a dream. I realised I was looking into the barrel of a shotgun.
I was speechless, I didn't know what was going to happen. I had to get help. I was desperate for an escape. I need the tall masked man to turn his back so I could escape through the open window. The man turned his back to the sound of police cars pulling up outside. I ran to the window and leapt through the window. I thought I was safe for now or so I thought.
