It started when I was 6, and still continues today (line 1)
People think it’s funny, to call all others ‘gay’. (line 2)
Mum said, “Don’t worry sweetie, it will be just fine”. (line 3)
“But mum”, I said, “isn't bullying a crime?” (line 4)
I’m 13 now and I’m scared to go to school (line 5)
I haven’t told the teachers, maybe I’ll play it cool (line 6)
In 8th Grade, the boys began hitting me (line 7)
They pushed me down stairs and I broke my left knee (line 8)
In now in year 10 and my legs no longer work (line 9)
I don’t think people realize how much words hurt (line 10)
Mrs Smith came and spoke to me about what’s been going on (line 11)
I told her about my story but it seemed like it was too long (line 12)
I write this to you as I sit locked in my room (line 13)
I think it’s time to say goodbye I can no longer resume (line 14)
I’d like to let you know bullying takes people’s lives (line 15)
Stop those targets from picking up the knives… (line 16)
