When she was a little girl
She picked flowers
Played with Barbies
And was scared of the monsters under her bed
When she was an adolescent
She picked revealing clothes
Played with her mothers makeup set
And was scared of the monsters in her closet
Now she is a teen
She picks her flaws
Plays with boy’s hearts
And is more scared of the voices in her head than any monster she has ever seen
