Every second I'm watching my back,
Any minute there could be an attack,
Every day I move out of my home,
I have no friends, I live on the roam.
I locate another place that is suitable for me,
It should be safe, as far as I can see.
A daring thought shoots through my mind,
As I am only small, it will be my first crime.
I move very slowly towards the pie,
Knowing full well if I do I may die.
As soon as I start eating the door opens wide,
I had better scram to save my hide!
Too late. The human reaches out and grabs her swatter,
I'm a poor innocent fly, but she treats me like a robber!
I zoom out the door and hide behind a tree.
Oh, how I wish every minute I didn't have to flee.
