The Sunset

The sun sets in the east,
Over the turquoise horizon,
Four dolphins, at least,
A whale splashes by them,
Its song filling the deserted sand banks,
Echoing and rebounding off the dunes,
You see a shipwreck that once sank,
Its mighty sails in ruins,
The town behind you is at peace,
The lights of the houses flickering,
All the noise cease,
And not a sound as the people go to sleep.
