She always sat behind her window pane,
Knowing that her life was full of shame,
She was never the girl to get the midnight kiss,
She never felt the warmth or the peaceful bliss.
Kids at school would just stop and stare,
She always felt like nobody else cared,
People around would start laughing away,
She wasn't even sure if earth was where she should stay.
She would never be able to kneel down and pray,
Because nothing in her eyes would ever be okay,
She promised herself that she would never show her tears,
She kept them inside along with her fears.
She never told her Mum that her enemies were mean,
Although deep inside there was a long lasting scream,
She never ever asked much sympathy from you,
I can assure you though she wished you knew.
