Excellence Award in the 'Dream Big 2013' competition
Whipping through my window, the cold country air,
Devastated by fire, the trees are stripped bare.
But the birds are still chirping clearly they don’t care,
As our car chugs along the old and dusty road,
Fiddling with my iPad switching from mode to mode,
We’ve reached our destination the car has finally slowed.
You’ve reached your destination!
The words you want to hear,
Time for Mum to have her wine and Dad to grab his beer.
Now I’ve got my holiday, I’ve been waiting for all year.
