The stars in the sky, she once wished upon,
Dandelions, eyelashes; false promises.
One more broken heart, she would soon be gone,
Those blinding words were his accomplices.
And her fragile hands would tremble with pain
His hands so soft, taking her breath away.
She was sure this boy had nothing to gain
From a girl like her so fragile and grey.
Maybe it’s the way he loved her like spring,
Her changing heart, slowly letting him in.
With the words she spoke, he would hear her sing,
He fell asleep to the thoughts of her skin.
A torn little girl, who he found so true.
This gentle boy, for whom her feelings grew.
