I stumbled back after coming to my senses. My mind was truly blank. My eyeballs were dry as, but I couldn't blink. The wind howled, but I didn't move.
Something just clicked.
I jumped and ran as fast as I could. My legs burned. My heart thumped. My hair tumbled wildly as I sprinted down the hill. I couldn't stop, panting and terrified. They were still coming after me. Going down the hill I tried to slow so I didn't slide on the steep part. But I couldn't. My legs kept moving. I couldn't stop. I needed to stop. But I couldn't. I knew I should've believed the other . That's what you get for being naïve.
I cried out in agony as I fell.
