Magnificently Lethal

Fine grains passing through my toes,
My feet sinking making perfect impressions into the warm shore,
A chill navigates up my spine and through my teeth,
As the salted tide cheekily nips my moments ago cosy toes
ROLL, SWEEP, and SHH
The profound ocean calls all into to its tranquil body,
Naively I move into the water,
Unwarily proclaiming war on what seems to be a tamed element
CRASH, SPLASH, BOOM
The ocean responds declaring it’s powerful rule of the world
Yelling at the top of its intriguing voice,
“I control all”
Magnificently lethal, intelligently deceitful,
Its raw beauty allures all who pass by,
Like a siren it beckons our desires,
What was soft on the shore becomes a devouring beast consuming all happiness
